וּמִי שֶׁנּותְנִים נֵר לַמָּאור וְיַיִן לְקִדּוּשׁ וּלְהַבְדָּלָה וּפַת לְאורְחִים וּצְדָקָה לָעֲנִיִּים. וְכָל מִי שֶׁעוסְקִים בְּצָרְכֵי צִבּוּר בֶּאֱמוּנָה

On Shabbos morning, following the reading of the haftorah, we say a מִי שֶׁבֵּרַךְ for those who give of their time and resources for the benefit of the community.

In particular, as can be seen in the above extract, we praise those who bring candles for light, wine for Kiddush and Havdalah, and food for guests and charity for the poor. And all those who faithfully occupy themselves with the needs of the community.

We recognise in our תְּפִלּוֹת that what defines a true community is our care for each other: individually, and as a community. Finchley Fed is no exception. We are immensely proud of our caring traditions.
