Rabbi Roodyn was educated at City of London school and Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh and holds a degree in Government from the London School of Economics. He studied at the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem as well as in the Jerusalem Kollel and received a broad semicha from Rabbi Yitzchak Berkovits. He is active in a number communal projects as the educational director of Jewish Futures and Klal Chazon and is a popular speaker with hundreds of classes online. He is an experienced tour guide, having led numerous groups to sites of Jewish interest in the UK, Eastern Europe and Israel for JRoots. He regularly answers halachik queries on behalf of the Federation Beth Din’s Shailatext service and is the editor of the weekly Oneg Shabbos publication as well as being the programme director for Aleinu, an annual Rabbinic conference.

Rebbetzin Roodyn was educated at Hasmonean High School and Seminar Yerushalayim. She holds a degree in Management Science from the London School of Economics as well as a Master of Research in Computer Vision and Image Programming from University College London. During her and the Rabbi’s time in Israel the Rebbetzin worked for KPMG as a trainee actuary and taught in several seminaries in Jerusalem.

The Rabbi and Rebbetzin are blessed with eight children, ranging in age from teenagers to toddlers.
